Why we built Co Flock in Jayanagar, and what working close to home does to a day.
Most coworking spaces live in the same few places: a business district, a glass tower, an hour from where you sleep. We went the other way. Co Flock is in Jayanagar 7th Block, in the neighbourhood a lot of our members already call home.
That sounds small. It isn’t. Working close to home gives you back the commute, the lunch break and a little of the day you used to lose to traffic.
Why close to home works better
When the walk to work is ten minutes, you actually go in. You arrive calmer and you leave while it’s still light. Coffee happens under the trees. Lunch happens somewhere you know the name of.
Then the room does its part. Fast Wi-Fi. A comfortable chair. A room for the client call. Coffee when you need it. Someone around if you need a hand. We take care of the conditions. You take care of the work.

What we kept simple
No forced icebreakers and no weekly mixers. There are other people around, and if something happens, it happens on its own.
